THE MASTERS 2026
A tradition unlike any other.
PRODUCTION TEAM
Immaculate. Unforgiving.
Augusta National is a course that demands perfection.
When ESPN brought us the opportunity to develop something for The Masters, the golf enthusiasts on our team jumped at the chance to dust off their clubs and arrive at the course early, so to speak.
Our challenge on this project was only fitting. We set out to capture the atmosphere and precision of golf’s most iconic stage, without directly replicating it. This project focused on translating history into a new visual format.
Golf’s most iconic stage.
We needed to be able to tell the story of the Par 3 Contest in a way that romanticized the event, staying true to the values that the tournament holds, while also providing a fun and refreshing take on the event.
The course design had to feel like Augusta, without giving away the actual features of the course and we achieved this by use of subtle course elements creating an aire of familiarity, while not being inherently Augusta.
The Par 3 Contest
The Data is in the Details.
Scheffler vs Woods
Stats don’t have to feel like a spreadsheet.
This piece was all about turning numbers into playful energy and building a head-to-head that took each metric and treated it like a moment. With records writing themselves each season, Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods continue to add their own pieces of history to the game of golf and it was our job to bring these characters and stats to life.
Meet the Players
With the second segment we created, Scottie Scheffler was the highlighted player to be pitted against Tiger Woods, their records, scores and gameplay statistics displayed in a fun and friendly comparison.
The models for this segment went through a couple iterations before we landed on the final design. Likeness, complexity and rigging restrictions all top of mind.
Key Element Design
Additional assets required for the broadcast included player introduction pieces for the Par 3 Contest as well as on screen transitions for the contest banner itself.
ON AIR
Launching on ESPN and the ESPN App during coverage of the 90th Masters tournament beginning on April 9th.
