A 7-time Emmy award winner and 20-time nominee, Joss founded Bigstudios in 1991 and continues to oversee and manage the design and implementation of large scale projects such as the MLB Network launch, CBC Sports rebrand or CBS/Turner NCAA March Madness, along with VFX supervision, casting, directing live action shoots, original content development and long form production, mixed in with Super Bowls, other major initiatives. Currently she is working on developing projects for eSports, VR and AR.
Tania has over 20 years of experience in production, post production, animation, visual effects and broadcast design. She has lead her teams to numerous awards: 7 Broadcast Design Awards, 12 Bessie Awards and 3 Canadian Screen Awards. She has worked closely with producers, directors, and creative teams on a variety of projects including feature films, television shows, documentaries, 3D stereoscopic productions and commercials, in Canada and the United States.
Chara has returned to Bigstudios after 18 months screen writing and living as a gypsy. And we as well as many of our clients are thrilled to have her back!
Chara is a warm, extremely passionate producer who cares about her clients and her crew and does everything possible to make sure things are running smoothly, the creative juices are flowing and the communication is loud and clear.

Starting as an eager Producer back in 2007, Mark ended up as the eager General Manager a few years later. He enjoys bringing his demented dog Dex to the studio and gets a kick out of seeing himself as the occasional Motion Graphic.
Emmy award winning Shannon Wong has been working with bigstudios since 1999 – growing from junior to senior designer in just a few years. In 2006 he became Creative Director. He has worked on high profile projects ranging from NCAA March Madness on CBS/Turner, MLB on TBS, innumerable Super Bowls, CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada on CBC and in Russia the newly launched NASH Football, In addition he champions ambitious after-hours projects – motivated solely by the love of motion graphics and story telling.
Emmy award winning Jordan Greenstein has been a creative force since joining bigstudios over 11 years ago. Hired as a storyboard artist, he quickly rose to senior designer. In 2007 he earned the title of Creative Director. His intuitive understanding of the particularities of designing for broadcast make him popular with our broad client base. A natural leader he has directed large scope projects for ESPN, Turner and CBS and a host of others. Without doubt Jordan is one of the leaders in international motion graphic design and production.
Javier received his Masters in Fine Arts in his native country Colombia, with a specialization in photography and sculpture. Javier then moved to Canada and studied Computer Animation at Sheridan College. He has worked several animation studios around North America until he came to bigstudios 6 years ago. His fascination with troubleshooting and his technical prowess earned him a place as our unstoppable Technical Director. Javier is an Emmy Award winner and has worked in several Emmy nominated projects with bigstudios. His passions are his family (wife, son and daughter), table tennis, photography and VR.
A 3D generalist with a background in character design, Sam’s primary responsibilities cover modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, rigging, and VFX, while occasionally delving into post production as well. His favorite pastimes include sleeping.
Randy brings a wide range of commercial work and an artistic talent through his work with Corus, Township & Company, and Electric Company. Always on the hunt for inspiration and new techniques, he keeps an active collection of designs that keep us discussing and analyzing for hours. Randy is proficient as both a director and compositor. He is also a gifted musician and a dad to two excessively smart kids.
After getting her Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Waterloo, Yolanda worked in multiple industries including architecture, construction, marketing, and film. Most recently, she worked as a Marketing Manager in film and television. She is very excited to be learning from the veteran producers and designers at bigstudios. In her spare time, Yolanda can be found coding, traveling, cartooning, and hassling the designers with tech questions.
Sean came to Bigstudios in early 2017 and are we glad he did. Extremely experienced in sports and venue graphics, he is 'big in the room' - excited by the opportunity to tell new stories and work on lifestyle, current affairs and other varied design enterprises. Committed, grounded, hardworking and of course extremely talented, Sean has become a fantastic teammate in short period of time.
Chevy went to Fanshawe College and studied Television Broadcasting, Character Design & Animation, and Visual Effects. Prior to joining Bigstudios, he worked at Smith as a Jr. Designer. His specialties include Cinema 4D, Xpresso, Morphs, rendering and modelling. Chevy is also a huge sports fan / Leafs fan!
Angel has been working in graphic design since he can remember, working as an art director and concept creator in print, web, interactive, and of course motion graphics (his favourite).
He never stops learning and is committed to the kind of creative solutions that come when you take risks and are working on projects you really care about.

Umair joined us in early 2017 with an extensive body of work in many different genres of motion graphics. Umair doesn't talk a lot during our production meetings but he sure is listening. Imaginative, very hardworking and extremely adept and inventive at building out packages, Umair has quickly become a valued member of our design team
